ABOUT DAVID

David is a United States Army Combat Veteran, his military career began in 1988 when he enlisted in the United States Air Force.

After a few years in the private sector, David reenlisted in the military in 2008, specifically the United States Army.

A little less than two years later he deployed to Afghanistan with the 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division.  His unit was the focus of the documentaries, "The Hornet's Nest" and "No Greater Love".

His commitment to family, loyalty, duty, respect, self-less service, honor, integrity, and personal courage continue to drive him through life's challenges. His unit's motto "No Slack - No Breather from Work, No Relief from Combat, No Request for Respite" goes much deeper than just a saying, it is a way of life.

David has always had an interest in government since he was in high school and had many thoughts about running for public office through the years.

In 2016 David was elected to the Grafton County DIstrict 15 New Hampshire House of Representatives seat. Due to his commitment to work with his fellow Veterans, he did not run in 2018 .  After those commitments were met and many within the District asked him to step up again, David once again answered the call in 2020.

David's experiences include serving as VIce Chair of Azimuth Check Foundation where the mission of impacting the lives of Veterans and First Responders has been an integral part of his day to day life.  In that environment it is paramount to work with various points of view, passions, and agendas in order to have an outcome that is not about self but about the Veterans and First Responders that have and still sacrifice on behalf of our Nation and communities.  Likewise, David is an avid snowboarder and has worked as the Assistant Director of Snowsports at a New Hampshire resort, where he worked with, coached/mentored many instructors and clients alike, finding commonalities and working with each one on the basis of their individual inherent rights to accomplish the goals of becoming better instructors, skiers and snowboarders.

His 12 years of military service, include service during Desert Storm and a tour in Afghanistan, He worked 20 years in the corporate world, owning a successful heating and air conditioning company, paintball business, and as a VP of Field Marketing and Development for an Energy Brokerage Firm, he also volunteered his time and services to other veterans and civilians by cutting firewood, delivering groceries, and doing small maintenance jobs, as well as serving as a board member with several organizations, coaching various youth sports and varsity sports team along with serving his fellow  Granite Staters in the New Hampshire House of Representatives.

The common factor between David's service to his country and to New Hampshire is his willingness to serve and represent his fellow citizens with the same integrity that he served our Nation and a strong belief in Individual inherent rights of all people.

It was the loss of 18 brothers and sisters in arms during the deployment to Afghanistan where David truly came to understand what was meant by Captain Miller's final Words to Private Ryan, in the movie, "Saving Private Ryan" which were "Earn It, Earn This". David believes that he can best do so by ensuring that everyone is afforded the rights found in our State's and Nation's Constitution.
