I believe a Constitutional amendment to clarify that the Legislature is solely responsible for educational funding and adequacy is necessary and that we need to define "an adequate education" and a hold the state to a fiscally prudent funding plan. Education should not be decided by the courts.

 

Furthermore, I believe "No Child Left Behind" also known as Common Core must be reviewed and appropriate action taken in order to bring our children's education back to the top in the world.

 

I support good quality public schools, no view point discrimination, schools should have a civics competency test or a simple US Citizenship test prior to high school graduation.

 

Obama supported Charter Schools, they are public schools, we all pay taxes and at some point some parents may decide the best choice for their child is an alternative education format such as Charter Schools, which have shown to be more economical with the best education available as proven by over all test scores.
